A-10 Warthog WIP

After modeling the UH 60 Blackhawk and an Austin Healey Sprite, I discovered that I really enjoy modeling vehicles. Then I discovered a new book on clearence at Borders: The American Bomber Plane. This is an awsome book with tons of planes all with front, side, and top orthos accompanying each picture-illustration. I couldn't wait to dive into this book, and here is the first plane I am modeling. It is an A-10 Warthog, a bomber that was specifically built around a gun that is larger than a VW bug! That is why I chose it first :) This is clearly a work-in-progress, with only a couple hours of work into it.

Final Dom War Submission

This is my final model for Dominance War IV. Her name is Maraigh and she is an assassin. The main stipulations for submitting were a poly count of no more than 10,000 Tris for the character and her steed, and all of the UV's had to be in the 0-1 space. Maraigh and her Luna moth steed together equaled exactly 10,000 tris. I have a color, normal, glow, and spec map for her. In order to pose her out, I made a skeleton, bound her, painted the weights, and then rotated the joints. Unfortunately, I did not have time to fully rig her. I am really happy with the way she came out since this is only the second human and the first female that I have modeled.

Cow WIP

I know I haven't posted in a while. I was busy graduating!!! Woot! Now I have my BFA in Illustration and I get to see all of my hard work pay off. Here is the last project that I did for my senior class. I just barely squeezed it in, and I am definitely going to work on it more, but for the time that I had, I am proud of how far I was able to take it.

DW4 Mini Challenge

This is the piece I sculpted and painted for the Dominance War 4 Mini Challenge. We were given a very low poly mesh, then had to sculpt out the final image without changing the base mesh at all. My guy's name is General Volta.

Dark Crystal Landstrider

My time was limited when I modeled the Landstrider from the Dark Crystal because I did it as an extra project over the winter break. I still need to work on the edge-looping before taking it into ZBrush. They sure do have ugly faces!
